Scouts, are you interested in making radio contact with Scouts from around the UK, and the world for that matter? Maybe you would like to build you own a crystal radio (a basic AM radio that requires no batteries)? If the answer is yes, then this event is for you.

The building a `crystal radio’ session will cost £15.00 per Scout, this covers the cost of all components and you will be able to take the completed project home. This must be booked and payment received by Neil or the Scout shop at Poplars by Monday 9th October latest, as components need to be ordered.
The radio communications session in the afternoon costs £3. There will be an opportunity to talk to Scouts from around the UK and Europe using Amateur Radio. You will also be able to work towards the Scout Communicator Activity Badge if you wish.
