Around Town Challenge
The Around Town Challenge is a one day event held each Spring. Teams of between 4 and 7 Scouts (and one adult) will travel around Stevenage, exploring different areas in the quest to complete the challenges provided to them.

Colonel Woods
Colonel Woods is a Patrol camping challenge that gives Scouts the opportunity to camp and cook in Patrols. Help will be on hand where needed. For more information, look on the Colonel Woods page.

District Adventure Day
The District Adventure Day will be held at Fairlands Valley Park in the Summer. Sailing, Canoeing, Climbing and Orienteering are hopefully going to be available. An ideal opportunity to complete the practical elements of the Adventure Challenge Award.

JOTA & JOTI
Jamboree On The Air (JOTA) and Jamboree On The Internet (JOTI) are international events held on the third full weekend in October, offering all members of Scouting the opportunity to communicate with fellow members from around the world, via radio and the internet.

Night Hike
The annual District Night Hike takes place during the late Autumn. Teams of between 4 and 7 Scouts, take up the challenge of navigating their way through approximately 10 miles of Hertfordshire countryside on foot. Walking is broken up by a series of `incident bases', such as dealing with a first aid scenario or lighting a small fire to burn through a string line, half a metre from the ground!
