The Around Town Challenge is a one day event for the Scout Calendar which was held on Saturday March 20th 2010. Teams of 4 to 7 Scouts (and one adult) traveled around Stevenage,
completing activities and a short quiz on Scouting and Stevenage in general.
Four Scout HQs around town offered activities as well as providing refreshments.
Challenges included archery, rifle shooting, a sweet challenge, a trading post, bridge building, a decoding challenge, cooking a surprise snack and cooking eggs in a variety of different ways.
Teams travelled around by foot and public bus.
The days challenge ended with the teams arriving at the District Scout HQ for a sausage and chip dinner.
The Around Town Challenge trophy was presented to the winning team, the 2nd Datchworth Scouts. Each team received a certificate and badge for each team member.
