Stevenage District Headquarters is situated in Poplars Neighbourhood Centre, next to Sainsburys', and the Doctors Surgery.
Car Parking is available in the Sainsbury's Car Park, or in the Community Centre Car Park
The Headquarters is open for Leaders and Helpers every Monday evening (except Public Holidays and during August).
The Scout Shop is also open on a Monday evening from 7:30pm - 9pm.
The main hall is normally split into 2 smaller halls (approx 100 sq metres and 50 sq metres).
However, it can be opened up to provide one large hall.
There is also a small meeting room suitable for approx 10-15 people.
The entire building is covered by a secure 802.11b wireless network, with access to the Internet
The large hall is fully equipped with a computer, DVD/VHS player, and a full Audio/Visual System including wireless microphones.
The Kitchen has recently been completed refurbished and comes complete with approx 50 mugs, a water boiler, a dual fuel double oven cooker, a fridge and a dishwasher. There is also a limited supply of plates and cutlery available.
The building also provides a place to hold District meetings and activities.
The District HQ is also available to other Youth Organisations for sleepovers, evening or weekend events.
Unfortunately the building is NOT available to hire for 18th or 21st Parties or similar such events
